TLCC has partnered with Brisbane City Council to upgraded the Macaranga Park playground in Carseldine. The upgrade includes the construction of rubber play mounds, rope holds, bespoke play structures, and natural tracks, as well as new picn ic areas and sandstone boulders. This upgrade was themed around local flora and fauna. The design and decorations focus on encouraging children of all ages to climb, balance, swing, and explore.

  • Demolition of existing fences, playground, furniture, and tree removal
  • Earthworks and site preparations
  • Construction of extensive patterned rubber soft fall and play mounds
  • Installation of new hydraulic and drainage systems
  • Installation of new concreting including sub-base material, coloured asphalt and decomposed granite
  • Supply and install of softscape planting
  • New furniture/play equipment including custom play structure, swing, slide, and custom trail art elements
  • 12-month maintenance period

This project successfully elevated the park to a district-level standard, focusing on nature play. We constructed bespoke play elements, new gardens, a fitness station trail, and custom art elements, significantly enhancing outdoor discovery and community amenity.
